About Dr. Kayserman

Dr. Larisa Kayserman is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retinal specialist with extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of retinal diseases. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from New York University in 1985, where she earned the distinguished Founders Day Award. Dr. Kayserman graduated cum laude from the State University of New York at Downstate Medical School in 1989, achieving membership in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.

She completed her Ophthalmology Residency at SUNY Downstate/Kings County Medical Center in 1993, serving as Chief Resident during her final year. In 1994, Dr. Kayserman pursued further specialization, completing a Fellowship in Retina-Vitreous Diseases and Surgery at SUNY Downstate/Kings County Medical Center. She has been board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 1995 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Kayserman served as Associate Director of Ophthalmology at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ, from 1998 to 2019. She has also held teaching appointments, giving lectures and presentations on vitreo-retinal diseases and surgery, further demonstrating her commitment to advancing the field and educating the next generation of eye care professionals.
