About Dr. Ramakrishnan

Dr. Payal Ramakrishnan is a board-certified optometrist dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate eye care. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Genetics from Rutgers University in New Brunswick in 2015, followed by her Doctorate of Optometry from Midwestern University, Arizona College of Optometry. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and an active member of the American Optometric Association.

Her expertise includes the treatment and management of ocular diseases, pediatric eye exams, contact lens fittings, and collaborative perioperative surgical care. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Ramakrishnan has co-authored several research publications with the ECCNJ team. These works, presented at prestigious conferences such as the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), Women in Ophthalmology (WIO), and Retina World Congress (RWC), explored the role of digital technology in managing ocular diseases.

In her free time, Dr. Ramakrishnan enjoys cooking, dancing, traveling, caring for her beloved dog Sophie, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
