Jai Parekh, MD, MBA, FAAO, is a board-certified anterior segment eye surgeon who completed his fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. He serves as Chief of Cornea and External Diseases and Medical Director of the Research Institute at St. Joseph's Health System in New Jersey. Dr. Parekh is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he contributes to the Cornea Service at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. As co-founder of EyeCare Consultants of NJ, he founded the Center for Ocular Surface Excellence of New Jersey (COSE-NJ) and the Center for Interventional Glaucoma (CIG-NJ), advancing care in ocular surface diseases and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery.

Dr. Parekh's distinguished educational background includes completing his undergraduate and medical training with honors through Boston University's Early Selection to Medical School Program. He served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at the Lahey-Hitchcock Clinic, affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine, before training in Ophthalmology at Boston University School of Medicine, where he gained experience at esteemed institutions including Boston City Hospital and The Children's Hospital of Boston. He further enhanced his expertise by earning his MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, where he also traveled internationally with the university's basketball team for the Ambassador Games.
