Dr. Larisa Kayserman is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retinal specialist with extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of retinal diseases. She specializes in conditions including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration (AMD), retinal tears and detachments, and macular hole and pucker. Dr. Kayserman has been board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 1995 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Kayserman graduated cum laude from the State University of New York at Downstate Medical School in 1989, achieving membership in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her Ophthalmology Residency at SUNY Downstate/Kings County Medical Center in 1993, serving as Chief Resident during her final year. In 1994, Dr. Kayserman pursued further specialization, completing a Fellowship in Retina-Vitreous Diseases and Surgery at SUNY Downstate/Kings County Medical Center.
My philosophy in medicine is to always stay curious, keep learning, and bring the very best of that knowledge back to my patients, while also sharing it with the next generation of physicians who will continue advancing the field.
